This AABPA Panel will provide an insightful discussion on the Concord Coalition's new policy agenda. With the federal government once again paralyzed by partisanship and fiscal inaction amid the current shutdown, Concord Action is calling on Congress to do its job: pass budgets on time and stop adding to the national debt. Concord Action’s new policy agenda lays out a practical, bipartisan roadmap to restore fiscal responsibility in Washington by strengthening the budget process, establishing a bipartisan Fiscal Commission (with teeth) to enact change, and cutting the deficit to sustainable levels. Concord Coalition's mission is to build an enduring coalition of grassroots activists who are committed to restoring federal fiscal discipline and responsibility. Bob is Policy Director of the Concord Coalition and Concord Coalition Action Fund, where he advances grassroots advocacy for fiscal responsibility and long-term budget sustainability. With over 25 years of experience in fiscal policy at all levels of government, he previously led state fiscal research and advocacy at the Pew Charitable Trusts, driving reforms in more than two dozen states to strengthen reserves, and better prepare budgets for economic downturns.
